Event information

Revered Canadian songwriter Stephen Fearing and the award-winning Scandinavian folk-roots-country band The Sentimentals share a mutual passion for crafting beautiful melodies and dynamic musical interplay that mesmerize's audiences night after night. Their combined admiration for classic Tin Pan Alley songwriting, infused with innovative soundscapes, yields a unique mode of expression that is both authentic and original.Since their partnership began in 2018, Fearing and The Sentimentals have ignited stages across Europe and Canada. Their collaborative efforts have set a new standard for blending traditional and experimental elements in the roots-music.

Stephen Fearing
There are celebrated musical troubadours. And then there is Stephen Fearing, whose vivid, lyrical songs are elevated by his masterful guitar playing and melodic, cobalt voice. With a career spanning multiple acclaimed albums and awards, Fearing has shared stages and studios with an eclectic assortment of musical legends like Merle Haggard, Richard Thompson, and Cassandra Wilson. As co-founder of Canadian roots-rock icons Blackie and the Rodeo Kings, Fearing's genre-busting music consistently captures the messy splendor of the human condition, weaving tales that resonate deeply with listeners.

The Sentimentals
MC. Hansen isn't just any singer/songwriter/guitarist; he's an award-winning sonic spy who spends his days tracking the essence of his homeland's “Nordic-noir” tales and transmitting them in his mother tongue whilst chasing the dusty paths of classic North Americana. Cradling his Telecaster, he stands at the crossroads of lost-highway twang and the autobahn of sonic-folk, carving out soundscapes and stories with a bold, stylish and elegant stance.

A “songwriter’s drummer” is a rare gem indeed. Jacob Chano lives for the groove that weaves through original music, indie bands, and cover gigs. Chano is someone who finds “the pocket” in the poetry of lyrics and the rhythm that transcends linguistic borders.
With his bass in hand, Nikolaj Wolf tells tales. Part teacher, part engineer, part composer, he's the jazz-infused maestro with the porkpie hat, fluent in the languages of melody and rhythm. Wolf is an alchemist, seamlessly merging the realms of drums and guitar, forging a melodic and intricate backbone for every song.
