Event information

This storytelling workshop will focus on building public speaking skills, and how to find stories (including family stories and personal narratives), how remember the story and make it your own. Engaging with stories can place one as the hero in their story, be used as a support tool for neurodiversity, or for professional branding, but most of all stories have been a way to communicate the human lived experience, share knowledge, and to find miraculous in the mundane.

This session is aimed at adults who have an interest in heritage, public speaking or storytelling.
This is a 2 hour workshop from 10am-12noon

Three things you will gain from attending:
1) Confidence in speaking public,
2) Tools for memorising - in particular narrative,
3) New communication skills. (plus a lot of fun).

This session will be run by Dr Terrie Howey-Moore of Red Phoenix Storytelling & Productions Terrie has a Ph.D in storytelling as intangible cultural heritage. She has been a professional storyteller for over 20 years and has been leading storytelling workshops for 19 years.
