This session will cover the basics of vocal health, and how the voice will really tune in on getting to know your own range, mindfully learning about your own voice and overcoming anxiety with techniques mindfulness strategies. For anyone who doesn’t know their voice or more importantly wishes they had a different one, this workshop will be for you!
This session is aimed at women or anyone who identifies as female. Much of the time women are conditioned to present their voice in an acceptable and tolerable way – we edit our sound before we make it! This workshop will help understand the beauty of imperfection and vulnerability and breaking the mould we may have been placed in.
This is a 3 hour workshop from 2pm-5pm.
Three things you will gain from attending:
1) Understanding of the voice
2) Understanding of how the mind and voice are connected
3) Understanding of how mindful voice work can help liberate us from self limiting beliefs.
This session is run by Nicki Rogers - a vocal coach and choir director largely working with women. She specialises in mindful voice, with a specific focus on the management of music performance anxiety.
