The album is a collection of audio-visual stories inspired by folk tales and the crossroads between fiction and science, told through Buckle’s soaring vocals & imaginative songwriting.
Her second album Hearts Get Started was released in October 2024. The songs provide an insight into Buckle’s musical exploration of pop, rock and folk over the past 4 years. Filled with old favourites and new explorations, this prequel to Disco Lasers invite the listener to follow Ebony on her journey of how she first found her voice, and where it’s taken her since.
Ebony’s unique voice was first recognised in the BBC’s drama Inspector George Gently, where she performed a version of Silver Dagger which reached number 1 in the iTunes World Music Charts.
