Event information

A saturnalia of three-part harmony from family trio WHO OWNS THE SNOW. The group is built on a unique creative chemistry: daughter Loretta Rest (voice, cello, guitar, keyboards) performs alongside her mother, seasoned British singer-songwriter Rosie Brown, and her father, Austrian-born guitarist and composer Bernd Rest. Spanning the generations, the trio entwine voices and musical energies, creating a sound that feels both tenderly fragile and solidly unshakable. At times reminiscent of This is the Kit, mixed, perhaps, with Radiohead, while other moments bring to mind Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young with a hint of classic Joan Armatrading. Written in turn by all members of the trio, the songs – with Rosie and Loretta sharing the front-woman role – reflect on nature in all its fragility, love and the bittersweet, and subtly capture our time’s sense of foreboding.
