Event information

This is a very special show at the lovely, intimate venue of Oliver's in Greenwich, where Dave will be exclusively showcasing new songs from his upcoming album due for release later in 2026. Most of these songs have never been performed live before so this really is an exclusive show. (Expect a few old favourites as well!)
Opening the show we have the Americana powerhouse that is Alexander McKay. A singer-songwriter known for his authentic, heartfelt performances and finger picking guitar.

This is a seated concert.

Dave Sutherland is a London based Americana singer-songwriter with nudges towards the Country Folk genres. So much so, he was awarded UK Male Country Singer of the Year at the UK Country Music Awards 2024. An accomplished performer filled with raw energy and emotion, Dave’s music speaks of life, love and London with the eye of an artist and the ear of a poet. His fingerstyle guitar, melodic vocal and engaging stage presence have cemented his place amongst the aristocracy of UK Americana artists.
His latest album ‘Last Drop of Empty’ was produced by the American producer Stacy Parrish who won a number of Grammy Awards for his work with T Bone Burnett, Alison Krauss and Robert Plant on Raising Sand, and Jefferson Airplane/Hot Tuna’s Jack Casady who also plays bass on the album. It was released to worldwide critical acclaim and produced two Top 3 singles. It was also voted ‘Runner Up UK Americana Album 2022’ by the readers of Americana UK, reached the Top 25 of most played UK Roots albums across America, charted in the Euroamericana charts, was listed as ‘One To Watch’ on the Alt. Country Charts in America and nominated for ‘UK Country Album of the Year’ at the UK Country Music Awards 2022, where Dave was first awarded ‘UK Male Country Singer of the Year’. Dave’s been treading the musical boards for 30 years, releasing his first record, ‘Navigator’, under the direction and guidance of Bert Jansch. A successful tour of America soon followed. His next albums ‘Comfortable Junction’ and ‘American Refrigerator’ cemented his popularity in the UK and elevated him Stateside with his US audience delighting in asking: “How can you speak like this and sing like that?” He was then signed by Martin Levan at Red Kite Records and his next album, ‘On The Waiting List’ was a commercialnand critical success both in the UK and the US.
Dave performs solo-acoustic: one man and 3 guitars. The late, great Steve Simpson of Slim Chance said of Dave: “If I could sing and play like that, I wouldn’t need to be in a band”.
Dave’s shared the stage with artists such as Rumer, Slim Chance, Glenn Tilbrook, Ralph McTell, Billy Ray Cyrus, Al Stewart and Ian McClagan. His music is supported by BBC Radio and is on numerous playlists across America. Extensive global airplay has seen him achieve Top 5 singles in the UK, America, Denmark, Norway and Japan. He’s currently touring the UK with a new album in the planning for later this year.
