Event information

Since being crowned Introducing Stage winners at The Great British Rock and Blues Festival in 2023 the Adam Sweet Band have been rapidly gaining a reputation as one of the tightest units on the circuit. They have built on their success with triumphant performances at venues and festivals across the UK, including London’s 100 Club, the Brudenell Social Club, Sidmouth & Rye International Jazz & Blues Festivals, the Great British Rhythm & Blues Festival and they have supported the likes of Wishbone Ash, Kris Barras Band and Elles Bailey. In 2025 they were nominated in the category of ‘UK Blues Emerging Act of the Year’ at the UK Blues Awards.

Taking his cue from the British blues boom sounds and rock riffs of the 60s and 70s, independent blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter Adam Sweet has been carving out his own territory between classic rock, blues and Americana for over a decade. With his band he delivers brooding blues and rootsy rock, balancing richly detailed song writing, soulful vocals and expertly piercing guitar work.

The Adam Sweet Band features:

• Garry Kroll on drums (whose touring and recording credits include Mark Ronson, Joss Stone, Sandi Thom, Elles Bailey, Demi Marriner and Andrea Bocelli)
• Paddy Blight on bass (Hollow Souls, The Hoosiers, Andy Timmons, That Pedal Show)
• Thomas Hughes on Hammond organ (Nektar, Eddie Floyd, Geno Washington, Danny Bryant, The Selecter)

In 2024 they released ‘Live at Crescent Records’ with the accompanying YouTube series clocking up over 80k views in the first few months of its release.

2026 will see Adam releasing his next studio album following up his acclaimed 2020 album release ‘Sink or Swim’.

Since first taking to the live scene in the South West of England at the age of 15 Adam has worked in various guises: solo acoustic, session player and band leader. The result is consummate ability to switch from sensitive singer-songwriter to full-on blues rocker with ease, as demonstrated in his countless live performances and his output as a recording artist.

“Sonically, Adam is a guitar-slidin’ force of nature whose songs can fill a hall with their effortless verve. Ranging from quietly desperate blues tunes to careening full-tilt rock, his approach is a testament to the idea that less can, in fact, be considerably more. A young bluesman with an ancient soul and a large presence in the here-and-now.”
