Playing a set of original compositions, this band brings together a wide range of influences from Schönberg to Santana and beyond. Flautist and keyboard player Eddie Parker is a veteran of the UK and international creative music scene, playing with Loose Tubes, Bheki Mseleku, Will Gregory Moog Ensemble and many more. He has recordings available on Bandcamp and his Debussy Mirrored Ensemble is available from Amazon. Guitarist Rob Luft 2025 UK Parliamentary Jazz Award for Instrumentalist of the Year is an intergalactic rising star, having played and recorded with John Surman, Arve Henriksen and Arild Andersen as well as his own groups; he has recordings on ECM, Edition, Ropeadope and Linn Records. The other members of the quartet are also bandleaders in their own right: Jay Davis is a superlative drummer - "Bad Trad" and "Big Bad Wolf" are available on Bandcamp and Spotify; bass player Dave Manington heads "Riff Raff" available on Bandcamp and Loop Records.
Eddie Parker's Airborn goes from strength to strength and has just recorded their first album, to be released in 2026. Expect incredible virtuosity, telepathic ensemble playing, adventurous harmony and grooviness!
