Event information

Maya Kally is a multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter and composer, with Folk, Jazz, Country, and Indie influences. Having studied Jazz vocals and Classical piano at Leeds Conservatoire, Maya moved back to London, where she focused on lyricism and poetry, exploring ideas of stillness in her compositions. As a result of being ill, Maya was forced to take time away from the music industry, however, they still continued to write music, which has led to their upcoming debut EP, A Window Left Open, due to be released on 20th March 2026. ‘A Window Left Open’ explores themes of illness, addiction, heartbreak, loneliness, the passing of time, and their interest in country music. This is certainly shown in Baily Lighthouse, released on the 16th January 2026 as part of their debut EP. ‘Baily Lighthouse’ was inspired by the harsh, ever-changing Irish coast in correlation to the helpless feeling of watching someone battle addiction. The single will be followed by ‘Tilia’, due to be released on the 13th February 2026, with the harrowing lyrics, ‘this lonely life’ repeated in the chorus. During this time Maya Kally will have started their EP release tour, promoting their new music around the UK, from as south as Tonbridge to as North as the Isle of Mull in Scotland.
