Yorkshire lass Carrie Martin first picked up a guitar when she was four years old and began performing publicly at the tender age of nine. She played clubs alongside her father, who worked the circuit as a guitarist and vocalist, and also made a name for herself, with live solo gigs and getting her songs played on local radio. By the end of her teens she'd changed direction and was fronting rock bands as a singer. After a break to concentrate on parenthood, she picked up the guitar again and was quickly noticed by Gordon Giltrap. With Gordon as mentor, she has developed a folk carer as a recording artist, live performer and guitar demonstrator - currently working with Faith Guitars. She is a fine musician with a big personality and it's sure to be a great evening.
