Richard Strange
Since the band Doctors of Madness was first unleashed on an uncomprehending public in 1975, Strange has been a Zelig-like figure whose presence has been felt in every corner of London’s cultural life. He founded the hugely influential mixed-media Cabaret Futura in 1980, and has subsequently worked as a musician, writer and actor.

His numerous movie appearances include Batman by Tim Burton, Mona Lisa by Neil Jordan, and Gangs of New York by Martin Scorsese. He can be seen in the Harmony Korine movie Mr Lonely, playing the part of Abraham Lincoln, and he recently filmed the last episode of Harry Potter.

Musically he has been playing as a solo artist and recently said of his work :

"This Is War! is my latest album, a collection of songs written over the last few years and recorded with a bunch of musicians, some young, some not so young. Produced by my dear friend David Coulter and featuring 11 new songs plus a radical reworking of The Doctors of Madness song “Waiting”.

I am featuring many of these songs in my solo show, “An Accent Waiting To Happen”, along with readings from my memoir, some old songs, stories and film clips.

I am enjoying working live again, performing in an informal, acoustic setting and letting audiences suggest the songs that I play. I like the spontaneity of not having a set list as such…just 100 or so songs prepared that I can do.

Freddie Lennox
London based songwriter Freddie Lennox crafts melodic poetic pop. Inspired in his writing by the likes of Jackson Browne and Bob Dylan, 2023 has seen him playing across London including two sold out nights at the Troubadour. He has also performed with Don Felder of The Eagles, live on Chris Evans’ Breakfast Show, and at Cornbury Music festival.
