The penultimate Spring Thing 2026 concert (4th June) features the duo Winter Wilson, who have graced stages in Europe and the Commonwealth - including a coveted guest spot at Fairport's Cropredy Convention!
“A tour-de-force of outstanding songwriting” (John Waltham, The Living Tradition)
“Winter Wilson just get better and better, whatever they do.” (Dai Jeffries, RnR Magazine)
If you haven't heard them before or experienced their live show, here's a little background for you :
*Winter Wilson is: Kip Winter (vocals, accordion, guitar, flute) and Dave Wilson (vocals, guitar and banjo).
*They have a string of critically acclaimed albums preceding their most recent release, ‘Home’.
*Song themes are as varied as their musical styles (i.e. from trad folk to blues and Americana, via the [perhaps more mainstream] contemporary singer-songwriter genre) .
*Dave is now reportedly recognised as being amongst the top tier of British songwriters, with his songs being covered in folk clubs across the UK and beyond.
*Their live performances bring a sense of intimacy to every venue, blending superb, often hard-hitting original songs, stunning harmonies and musicianship, with humour and tales of life on the road in between!
