The most widely sold and famous jazz album in history is arguably Kind of Blue. In this concert, John Coltrane aficionado Josephine Davies (tenor sax) and Cannonball Adderley-influenced Andy Panayi (alto sax) are joined by Miles devotee Chris Coull (trumpet) and a rhythm section led by local pianist and composer Terry Seabrook, for a repeat of last year’s sell-out performance. Kind of Blue is a must-have in any jazz fan’s library and combines artistry and elegance in what is undoubtedly one of jazz’s most seminal recordings. With Paul Whitten – double bass and Angus Bishop – drums.
