THE EMERALD DAWN
With music that is ‘as epic and as beautiful as it is possible to get’ (Scream Magazine), THE EMERALD DAWN have been making huge waves in the British progressive rock scene over the past few years, having headlined at The Soundle 2024 Music Festival and Prog the Forest, having gone down a storm at Prog for Peart, Danfest, Fusion Festival, A New Day Festival, A Sunday in September (London), and Summer’s End Progressive Rock Festival, and having won the best performance vote at HRH Prog XII, the largest prog festival in the UK. The Emerald Dawn came in the top ten in both the Best Band/Artist and Best Album categories in the 2023 annual Prog Magazine Readers' Poll. Their latest album 'In Time' won the Prog Explorations Plus award for the Best Album of 2023. And The Prog Mind ranked their keyboard player's performance fourth, their guitarist's performance second, their bass player's performance second, and their drummer's performance best in the world. In addition, the listeners of Progphonic and Game of Prog voted the band's vocalist runner up in the Best Female Vocalist category.
As a multi-instrumentalist, symphonic progressive rock quartet, The Emerald Dawn combine elements from classical music, jazz and rock to produce their own original, distinctive and exciting sound—a sound that is cinematic, experimental and powerful. Usually haunting, often stunningly melodic and always highly atmospheric, the music of The Emerald Dawn paints images or tells stories that stimulate the imagination and takes the listener on unforgettable musical journeys.
The band comprises Tree Stewart (keyboards, flute, acoustic guitar and vocals), Ally Carter (guitars, saxophones, keyboards, and vocals), David Greenway (fretless and fretted bass guitars) and Tom Jackson (drums).‘Often gorgeous and sometimes transcendent...potent pastoral-tinged prog flows from the stage.’ Gary Mackenzie, Prog Magazine

CANDACRAIG
Candacraig are comprised of Sharon Cannings (vocals, keys, mandolin) and Martin Nicholls (guitar, cello). Originally actors, they have been composing dark, alternative music since 1992.
Making the leap to full-time musicians in 2015, they depped for various established tribute acts, from ABBA to 90s Dance anthems.
When lockdown shut down their only source of income, they returned to the body of work they had been writing for the last 25 years, added new material, and reworked old songs to create their first album, “Thunder of Whispers“.
The second album, Lit by Lightning came along two years later, to critical acclaim and lead to Candacraig playing various prog festivals including Fusion, Danfest, Nene Valley Rock Festival and HRH Prog. In 2025 they were voted as 5th Best New Act in Prog Magazine and have developed a reputation for imaginative and engaging live shows, utilising custom made videos to accompany their sound. 2026 Will see the release of an album of remixes by Cosmograf’s Robin Armstrong, followed by an EP later in the year. Work will also start in earnest on a concept album. Described by The Prog Mind as “if Renaissance and Fleetwood Mac had a baby, and named it Pink Floyd” their shows are a mix of light and dark, with plenty of onstage banter.
