Join us for the first of a new night for Brighton. EAR TIME sees the finest acts from the Brighton music scene strip back and perform a show in the dark. Experience music without any distractions.
Bloody Tourist : Bloody Tourist is the project of an Englishman (half French) and an Irishman, making jangly, electronic-tinged indie music that feels both widescreen and intimate.
Formed in Brighton, their sound is shaped by chance encounters and strange playlists—Velvet Underground, Steely Dan, Leonard Cohen, Tame Impala, and Daft Punk all echo in the background.
Part of Brighton’s Talk Show Host Records, they’ve worked with collaborators including James Dring (Gorillaz, Blur, Jamie T), Dan Brown (Massive Attack), The National, City & Colour, Midlake, and Bess Atwell.
Their first show was a secret set at Glastonbury 2023. Since then, BBC 6 Music’s Lauren Laverne and Emily Pilbeam have come on board as early supporters.
Fred Hills :
Ambitious, diverse and swayed by extraordinary sound, Fred Hills crafts captivating compositions by fusing influences from across the musical spectrum. Inspired by revolutionary musicians before him, he blends his love of jazz, rock, folk, world & electronica into colourful rhythms, melodic 'open-handed' beats and delicate guitar-based compositions — resulting in a rich blend of contemporary jazz, alt-folk and progressive indie.
