About the workshop

Inspired by the Folklore Exhibition, we will discover what ‘folklore’ encompasses. We will also explore subjects and structures within this type of creative writing tradition, uncovering which type of folk tales inspire you the most. Expect some quick and playful creative writing exercises inspired by objects and stories in the exhibition to get your creative writing juices flowing. We will then focus on folkloric tales and traditions from Oxfordshire, which you will reimagine within your own folk tale, myth, fairytale, legend or fable.

This supportive and encouraging workshop is aimed at writers of all levels of experience aged 16 +

Pens and paper provided. Please bring your own water bottle, and any favourite notebook, pens, pencils and or a tablet or phone to write with if you prefer.
