Coppicing & Working with Green Willow

Perhaps you’re interested in having a homegrown source of plant supports, wanting to grow a natural privacy screen along your boundary, or carrying an interest in weaving you’ve yet to indulge.
This introductory course will cover all of that and more, in the scenic surroundings of Dunton Community Garden and our very own willow coppicing. You will learn a brief history of coppicing, a full start to finish guide for establishing your own in willow, plus you’ll have a go at crafting some plant support obelisks for our garden. Each ticket comes with some fresh cut willow rods for you to take home.
This activity is partially funded by Central Bedfordshire Council from the UKSPF Culture Fund.
THE COST OF THIS ACTIVITY IS £10.00
- If you are a CBC RESIDENT THE COST OF THE ACTIVITY IS DISCOUNTED TO £7.50
- If you live outside the area, there is a charge of £10:00
