Described as “ingenious and compelling” by The Times, ‘Orchestra of Samples’ is a unique musical journey without borders by ethno-sampling mavericks Addictive TV, bringing together musicians and instruments from around the world. For two decades, Addictive TV have built a vast archive, filming hundreds of musicians improvising worldwide, from India to Senegal, Kazakhstan to Colombia, sampling them all to create new music of extraordinary fusions. Connecting cultures through music, the performance showcases a huge variety of instruments, many traditional, some rare and others newly-invented. As well as performing on ‘Orchestra of Samples’, clarinettist František Holčík, aka Time Fracture, will also present new electro-acoustic work with a jazz twist, playing his EWI (Electronic Wind Instrument) alongside moving images from Bill Jackson, the award-wining artist known for his haunting emotive films and photography
