Rob Tognoni, known as The Tasmanian Devil, has been electrifying audiences worldwide
for over 40 years with his fiery and dynamic guitar playing. Originally hailing from Turner's
Beach, Tasmania, Australia, Rob’s explosive energy and inventive style blend blues, blues
rock, and classic rock with distinctive touches that make his sound unique. His influences
range from legends like Cream, Hendrix, BB King, and AC/DC, all of which can be heard
within his musical tapestry.
Throughout his storied career, Tognoni has opened for and performed alongside musical
icons such as Roy Buchanan, Lonnie Mack (mentor to Stevie Ray Vaughan), Joe Walsh of
The Eagles, Peter Green, Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, Sting, and Bo Diddley. His extensive
performance history spans from maximum-security prisons in Australia to the grandeur of
Mozart’s House in Vienna, demonstrating his broad appeal as an Artist. He has had the
honor of representing Australia at the Royal Wedding celebrations of King Frederik and
Queen Mary of Denmark and performed at the FIFA World Cup.
Over the past 29 years, Rob has released 27 albums through renowned labels such as
Provogue, Dixiefrog, and Blues Boulevard, while maintaining a relentless touring schedule
across the globe. His live shows are more than just concerts - they're physical, high
energy experiences that captivate audiences, thanks to his on-stage intensity and powerful
guitar work.
As a testament to his stamina and dedication, Blues In Britain Magazine praised his ability
to sustain an unparalleled level of energy in his performances, noting that few could
manage it. Whether sharing the stage with rock legends or enthralling fans in intimate
venues, Rob Tognoni continues to be a force of nature in the blues rock world.
Rob continues to tour actively and work on new music, with no signs of slowing down.

LIVE REVIEWS
The effect is that of a piston deriving its motion and unrelenting drive from a front man
whose energy levels would shame some guitar slingers half his age. He simply goes for
the throat in a relentless blur of unfettered energy and physicality in true rock and roll style.
Get Ready To Rock, London 100 Club Review, UK
Australian guitarist/singer Rob Tognoni always delivers highly energetic performances,
with the audience reacting so enthusiastically (there was a lot of singing along) that Rob
Tognoni and his men added quite a few encores.
Bluesmagazine, NL
He also fits perfectly as an opening act for bands like ZZ Top, The razor-sharp solos fly
around your ears in rousing rockers.
Lust For Life, NL
Rob Tognoni is one of the best and also one of the most uncompromising, as well as
virtuoso blues-rock guitarists in the world.
Bluesnews, DE
Rory Gallagher influenced with the speed and alternating lead and rhythm playing of Mick
Green, and a psychedelic hint of Hendrix with the raw gut power of AC/DC.
Get Ready To Rock, UK
The icing on the cake came most unexpectedly. Closing the festival, Rob Tognoni turned
out to be a blues showman with superstar attributes ... He gives all the riffs that the blues
allows, nails it every time, and always with a smile and movements so magnetic that you
cannot close your mouth.
Sweden Rock Festival
