If you miss live guitars, real noise, and gritty songs that hit a nerve, this is your night.
Oxford’s alt-rock scene is coming in loud. Expect sweat, distortion and a proper live music moment at The Jericho.
MOUNT ST. HELEN
Mount St. Helen is the alias of Oxford-based multi-
instrumentalist Aris Sabetai. Starting the project in lockdown,
the music blends the love of 90s guitar music with ethereal
string arrangements and pop sensibilities - all written, self-
produced and recorded in his dorm room at university.
Inspiration comes from all sorts of places including indie
cinema, animation and poetry through to European culture,
religion and a fear of flying. Although frequently focusing on
themes of nostalgia, faithlessness and loser-dom, the music of
Mount St. Helen is a celebration of difference, optimism and
hope.
AFTERCARE
Loud shemogaze from the depths of the Oxford music scene. This isn’t for you.
