Os invitamos a un evento muy especial: el lanzamiento del disco debut de los YUPTONES mas el retorno de poeta y cantautor Gabriel Moreno, residente en Londres.

Yuptones es el proyecto del músico Pablo Yupton como cantautor, que aúna toda su experiencia cómo músico profesional en bandas de soul, blues, jazz y folk, con su vertiente como poeta, con dos libros publicados, para crear canciones en castellano cargadas de poesía y que, por otro lado, están repletas de destellos instrumentales propios de la música negra.
La banda ha participado en festivales como el White Summer y tocado en salas como Apolo 2 o la sala Sidecar en Barcelona y este año ha publicado su nuevo disco.
Pablo Yupton en la actualidad es miembro de la banda The Excitements, una de las bandas más importantes del soul europeo y es un músico activo de la escena jazzística de Barcelona con proyectos de música propia como DDM o WYC.

GABRIEL MORENO BIO

Gabriel Moreno is Gibraltarian singer-songwriter, currently based in London. An irresistibly engaging performer, he combines a latin exuberance and passion with a rare lyrical calibre (he is also an accomplished poet, with 16 books published to date). Performing on nylon string guitar and accompanied by extremely talented musicians on violin, piano and bass creates a live experience that has been described as ”Taberna Folk” - at once both energetic and intimate, anarchic and absorbing
.
He has thrilled audiences across South America, the USA and Europe, including recent sets at UK festivals Wilderness, (2021) The Great British Folk Festival, (2022) Purbeck Valley Folk Festival, (2023) UK West Coast Folk Festival, (2024) and a year long European tour of his latest album Nights In the Belly of Bohemia (2025).

Moreno’s unique artistic voice lies in the meeting and fusion of different identities. Born and raised in Gibraltar, a British territory bordering southern Spain and just 8 miles from Africa, he has since lived and performed across the world, absorbing influences from music, literature and art everywhere he went. Now considered one of the most compelling and distinctive artists in London's thriving folk and roots scene, he was previously the longtime curator and host of the legendary Lantern Society folk club, and in 2022 was awarded the title of Cultural Ambassador of Gibraltar.

Moreno has been championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews, with his sonorous baritone and poetical lyrics often seeing him compared to such luminary wordsmiths as Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave and Bill Callahan and receiving high praise by the underground folk press. His music has been played in BBC6 radio, all BBC local stations and is a favourite addition of many folk radios such as Strange Brew.
