Thursday 19th March 2026 will be an intimate evening of music, featuring Steve’s critically acclaimed award winning songs and other personal favourites.
Steve is one of our most celebrated songsmiths, widely recognised within the world of folk and contemporary music; the words, arrangements and quite superb guitar playing could be no one else. With a style drawing from folk, blues, jazz and classical, he’s honed a sound that is recognisably Tilston.
On top form as he celebrates five decades on the road and shares songs from his latest album – “Last Call” possibly his final original recording, plus choice gems from his vast back catalogue

He’s toured with John Renbourn’s Ship of Fools, traditional singer Maggie Boyle, in WAZ!, with Maartin Allcock and Pete Zorn, Ballet Rambert, with daughter Martha and most recently Jez Lowe.
Steve is the writer of the classic song – ‘Slipjigs and Reels’, ‘The Naked Highwayman’ and ‘Here’s to Tom Paine’
His songs have been covered by a ‘Who’s Who?’ of the folk scene. His career was marked by the release of ‘Reaching Back’. A 5 CD boxed set retrospective, but not one to stand still and with “Madame Muse” at his heels Steve continues to deliver the goods. His latest album - ‘Last Call’ - is out now.
You will find he is on fine form as ever. Steve says, “Last Call is an album I’m very proud of and in my opinion contains some of my best work.” The listener is taken on a musical wave of up and down emotions through the imagery of Steve’s words.
