Event information

The legendary owners of Tolhurst Organic share stories from their latest book and their life-long organic journey. The book includes ninety recipes, tips and ideas on how to use seasonal veg. It is also a story about work and life on a vegetable organic farm. It reflects the seasons, the parade of crops throughout the year - the joy of harvesting and sharing.

It’s told through stories, and recipes, with accounts from all the crew and seasonal workers who drop in, throughout the year, to seed the salads, weed the watercress and tug up the turnips. Lavish photographs capture the challenges and blessings along the way.

Interviewer, Gill - and Neil - Faiers of Bangors Organic have been growing on their 5 acre smallholding at Poundstock since 2003. Certified organic in 2005 and previously running the first organic tea room in the UK they now grow using 6 large raised beds and 2 polytunnels producing veg, salad and fruit for their own local veg box scheme.
