Nicola will share her personal journey to publication, lifting the lid on the often-mysterious world of publishing and demystifying the roles, jobs and processes that turn a manuscript into a book.
The session combines insight with hands-on creativity. Participants will be introduced to a timed sprint free-writing technique (an effective low-stakes way of generating ideas, characters and scenes) and will try a focused writing exercise to deepen characterisation in their own work, with feedback from Nicola and the group.
Whether you’re just starting out or returning to writing with renewed intent, this welcoming workshop offers encouragement, practical tools and insider knowledge to help you write with confidence, depth and momentum.
