Event information

Spend Mother’s Day doing something slow and creative. FELT N FROTH is a relaxed 3-hour wet felting session where you’ll learn how to create an abstract alpaca piece using locally sourced wool. We’ll take things step by step, with time to experiment, chat, and enjoy a warm drink while you work.

It’s a lovely way to share time with Mum, bring her along, or simply enjoy a quiet, hands-on afternoon for yourself.

What to expect:
• Gentle guidance through wet felting techniques
• Working with beautiful local alpaca wool fibres
• Creating your own unique alpaca artwork ready to hang with neutral tones that will fit in any room
• A cosy, welcoming space
• A warm drink to sip as you felt

No previous felting experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands a little wet.
Places are limited to keep the session calm and unhurried. And they’re also completely free!
This event is funded by an S106 grant and is for people living within the Stony Stratford parish - including Galley Hill, Fullers Slade, Fair Fields and the town of Stony Stratford. We will open up booking to people living in the wider area on 1st March 2026.

This is a 3 hour workshop from 2pm-5pm

About your teacher : Sadie is an experienced creative teacher from local business Fluff Studios. She runs FELT N’ FIZZ and FELT N’ FROTH workshops - spaces where people can really slow down and focus. Her students enjoy learning how to make something from wool using their hands and proudly take home their creations. Before this, she spent years as a primary school teacher, which taught her clear structure and gentle encouragement. She’s all for making learning feel fun and accessible. In the week, she works as an Art Director on various set designs, so knows how to set the scene and spark creativity. Her workshops bring all of that together, creating a calm, well-held space where people of all ages can relax, create, connect and even surprise themselves.
