Brazilian Carnival Party

Get ready to celebrate Brazilian Carnival right here in Watlington, South Oxfordshire!
On Sunday 1st of March, from 2 to 5 p.m., join us for an afternoon full of rhythm, colour, and joy.

We’ll kick off with Carnival face painting and mask-making.
At 2:30 p.m., a lively parade will take place outside on the field, with Sol Samba playing Brazilian beats and the iconic Ox interacting with the audience.
Please note: if case of rain, the parade will take place inside the pavilion so the fun can continue!

After that, we’ll head into the pavilion to watch a short video introducing some Brazilian folk characters. And then—surprise! These characters will come to life, moving through the space as we throw confetti and celebrate together.

To finish, we’ll all dance together in a ciranda workshop, a vibrant and energetic Carnival tradition. Don’t miss this joyful cultural exchange!

This party will feel like being whisked away to Brazil — no plane ticket needed, and with a tiny carbon footprint!

Tickets are offered with tiered pricing to help keep the event as accessible as possible:

The Standard ticket is for those who can comfortably cover the typical cost.

The Reduced ticket is for those on a tighter budget or lower income.

The Supporter ticket is for those who are able and happy to give a little extra, helping support the event and keep it accessible to all.
