The new BBC TV dramatisation of Golding’s novel is likely to arouse fresh interest in a remarkable work that is deservedly widely known but sometimes misunderstood. In this session we shall look closely at the text with a view to teasing out its meanings and considering Golding’s techniques – an understanding of which may be broadly helpful to us in our own writing.
You’ll get most from the session by reading the novel in advance; the paperback is readily and cheaply available.
