TALES OF DERRING-DO – A collection of new, vibrant and exciting international short animations designed to appeal to young children and families.
Audience Award! Vote for your favourite short film at the end of the screening.
1. JAM AND WOOD (Dir: Elena Walf, Germany & Croatia, 2025)
The cold winter is hard on Lena and her animals. Firewood is expensive - and Lena only has turnip jam left to sell. But help sometimes comes from where you least expect it.
2. THE LITTLE ONE AND THE GIANT (Dir: Isabella Costa, France & Brazil, 2025)
In an abandoned world, a little animal wanders in search of life. One day, he discovers a house covered in flowers, a true oasis amidst the ruins. There, he has an unexpected encounter with a giant.
3. A VERY SPECIAL MEAL (Dir: Elena Walf, Germany & Croatia, 2025)
Lena's dog wants the expensive dog food! While Lena is negotiating with the seller, a duck sneaks out of
the seller's car. Only the dog seems to have noticed.
4. LESSONS WITH LOOLOO: SHELTER (Dir: Dave McKenna & Steve Roberts, UK, 2025)
An comical educational film teaching Looloo and her prehistoric human friends how to build a shelter.
5. DERRING-DO (Dir: Elena Walf, Germany & Croatia, 2025)
The youngest chick is goaded by his two friends to peep into scary, dark holes. The biggest test of courage is the dark cellar window, where a dangerous monster is said to live.
6. PICCOLO PICCOLO (Dir: Marta Gennari, France & Switzerland, 2025)
A tiny mouse, wanting to forget her little worries, decides one day to climb a very high mountain.
7. DANCING FRIEND (Dir: Elena Walf, Germany & Croatia, 2025)
The caterpillar would love to dance with the bugs. But they make fun of him. Only the smallest bug is willing to volunteer.
8. NUTISSIMO (Dir: Nicolas Bianco-Levrin, France, 2025)
At the beginning of autumn, a squirrel prepares its reserves for winter. As he finishes his inventory, he realises that he is missing something!
9. 3 CAPTAINS (Dir: Julia Ocker, Germany, 2025)
The three captains argue about who has to clean the ship. There's only one way to solve this problem: they steal the crown of the Queen of England! Because whoever has the crown, is in charge.
10. I LOVE YOU ELEPHANT (Dir: Antonie Zavadilová, Croatia, 2024)
A boy and an elephant get lost in a labyrinth.
11. LOVES & DAISIES (Dir: Klára Kubenková, Croatia, 2024)
A Garden Gnome and A Red Daisy go sunbathing!
12. BAIÃO D’INTÉRIEURS (Dir: Héloïse Dorsan-Rachet, France, 2025)
A small bird in captivity curiously observes the outside world through its window.

Start Time: 1.15pm (Exit Time: 2.30pm approx..).
