The Country Soul Sessions is delighted to announce that the legendary The Deltas will be playing for us in April. Formed in 1980 and still ‘rockin'’ after 46 years the band have traversed the globe taking in such mythical US musical destinations as Nashville, Memphis, Chicago whilst also travelling throughout Europe and Japan. Although known as a band to “always get the party started” with their live shows the reason for their longevity has been in their strength of their musical material throughout the years. Their classic first album “Boogie Disease” is today a fan favourite and their mid 90s 'Fleetville To Vegas’ long player is something of a classic of the genre. Playing their frentic rockabilly beat with a heavy does of blues the band have created a unique sound. Featuring Stevie Bongo on vocals, Captain Pat on guitar, Kev Magee on double bass and Roni Reeds on drums…..the band come with a simple message “Let’s all party together at The Country Soul Sessions!”.

Hiway 51
We are so pleased to welcome back our old friends Hiway 51 to the Country Soul Sessions. Initially formed with a desire to recreate a stripped down “country roots” trio, Hiway 51 have since travelled far and have augmented their 50s sound with an inspired nod to the 1960s sounds that emanated from the Hollywood Wrecking Crew & neighbourly Bakersfield. With their own take on Rock N' Roll classics and added self penned numbers this dynamic trio have somehow captured the open road and big sky of western mythology. Fronted by Paul Barker on vocals/guitar, Phil “Superaxe” Carwardine on guitar and the wonderful Emma Goss on double bass don’t miss this fine trio do what they do.
