Never heard of Barreleye before? Don't worry, neither had we until a couple of weeks ago. But once we got a taste of their highly insistent debut, One Eye Glitters, we were smitten. Hailing from Urbana, Illinois (but also with a foothold in London) they are carrying on in the Prairie State's grand tradition of finding a nimble, twitchy intercept between urbane rock and astrally-inclined jazz and pulling it off the greatest of aplomb! Come see and hear them climb up the pedestal atop which you might find Gastr Del Sol, American Football, Tortoise, Cap'n Jazz, and Chicago Underground, looking to take their rightful place.
