Mountain songs. Open voices. No experience needed.
This workshop dives into the deep, earthy sound of old Appalachian folk songs — music born in mountains, carried on front porches, shaped by work, weather and real life.
Together we’ll sing powerful harmony arrangements of Shenandoah and Nobody’s Fault But Mine — songs with grit, soul and space to let your voice ring out strong and true.
This is not about polished performance.
It’s about real voices.
Your voice.
Led by Sarah Garden, trained Natural Voice Practitioner, the session is rooted in the belief that singing belongs to everyone — not just the confident or the “talented.” No auditions. No reading music. No pressure.
Everything is taught by ear, slowly and supportively, so you can relax into the sound and feel the ground under your feet as the harmonies build around you.
You’ll experience:
The deep, spine-tingling resonance of mountain harmonies
The steady pulse of traditional folk song
The power of singing full-bodied and unfiltered
The simple joy of making sound together
If you’ve been quieted, shushed, or told you “can’t sing” — this space is for you.
Come gather round.
Find your note.
Let it rise.
Yes! — you can sing.
