A powerful anti-war play set in a British dugout near Saint-Quentin, France, during the final days of World War I (March 1918). It follows Captain Stanhope, a battle-hardened, alcoholic commanding officer, and his men—including young newcomer Raleigh—as they face immense psychological pressure.
