Join us for Friday Night Jazz at the Atrium Bar & Restaurant, President Hotel, Russell Square. On 24 April we’re delighted to welcome Imogen Ryall, one of the UK’s leading jazz vocalists. Twice nominated for Best Singer and Best Album in the 2024 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Imogen has been widely praised for her flawless pitch, warm tone and expressive delivery. Her 2023 Mingus/Mitchell album on the Rubicon Classics label was named among the best albums of the year by several jazz publications, including JazzWise, All About Jazz and the NYC Jazz Record.
In 2024, she has performed at top venues across the UK and headlined international festivals such as the Brno International Jazz Festival, Prerov Jazz Festival in the Czech Republic, the Cambridge Jazz Festival and the British Jazz Festival 2025 at Chateau d’Hardelot in France. A highly sought-after lyricist, Imogen has collaborated with Julian Nicholas, Joe Locke and Czech jazz legend Emil Viklický, with whom she released the acclaimed album Songs. Her lyrics have also been performed and recorded by Claire Martin OBE, Norma Winstone MBE and US vocalist Amy Keyes.
She’ll be joined by the exceptional rhythm section of Eric Ford on drums, Soner Ersen on piano and Dave Manington on bass, delivering an evening of beautifully crafted melodies, swinging grooves and intimate improvisation.
