Organiser Gabi Mills writes: “The unique selling point is celebrating chamber music written by women, including premieres of my musical miniatures using Sappho's poetry and Ruth's piece Sometime Soon. We always include a section for younger student musicians as there is a lot of music on current music exams written by women and we like to offer teenagers a chance to perform on the same platform as us oldies. New for this year there will be a merchandise table selling non-fiction books about the musical history of female composers and a selection of piano music by female composers, alongside music -themed note cards designed by local Ashburton lino artist Courtney Arnold.
