Wine Gums in the City - Comedy Night in Cambridge
Wine Gums comedy is back in Cambridge with a brand new venue! For the first time, we're bringing the laughs to Ellimatta on Victoria Avenue - a brilliant indie cafe serving up homemade food alongside a fantastic evening of stand-up. Grab a bite, a drink, and settle in for a proper good time.
With doors at 5pm and showtime at 6pm, it's the perfect early evening out - all the laughs, none of the late night. You'll be home and tucked up well before Monday morning.
There will be wine gums on the tables and on the bar, prizes to be won and fun, fun, fun! Food, beer, wine and soft drinks all on sale.
Over the years, Wine Gums has welcomed an incredible roster of comedians to its stages, including Sindhu Vee, Maisie Adam, Alisdair Beckett-King, Laura Smyth, Konstantin Kisin, Sarah Keyworth, Catherine Bohart, and Dinesh Ranganathan.
THE LINEUP:
Michael Akadiri (Headliner)
Multi-award winning comedian and resident NHS doctor. Michael's natural charm and cheeky observational style has seen him feature on Comedy Central LIVE, ITV2's The Stand Up Sketch Show, and Channel 4's Stand Up to Cancer. "Hugely entertaining," "charismatic headliner," and "sharp-witted everyman" - Chortle. His Edinburgh Fringe debut sold out and earned him a nomination for the Biggest Award in Comedy.
Callum Mackenzie
Endearing and energetic, an award-winning comic.
Fred Ferenczi
"Jokes to absolutely die for" - Paul Sinha.
Mags McHugh
"Woman With Punchlines" - "Gervais Likes Her Comedy A Bit."
Nessie Ward (Host)
