We may not think much about God in our day-to-day life, but when our lives are shattered by profound loss or suffering, or, conversely, when we are awestruck by a night sky or the birth of a child, we may wonder whether there is a God out there.
What is the nature of the God who is worth believing in, anyway? ‘I don’t believe in God’, one man said to his vicar. ‘What God don’t you believe in’, replied the vicar. And when he’d told him the vicar replied, ‘I don’t believe in that God either’.
We are all on a journey to try to make sense of our short life on this earth, so this course is for people of all persuasions, ranging from those who don’t believe or are not sure about the reality of God to those who hold a strong belief in God. The aim is to clarify the issues, and excite and nourish us on our journey.
