New Song is the latest project from composer and drummer Chun-Wei Kang. The music brings together a range of influences, shaped by a personal and reflective approach to writing. Led from the drums, the quintet’s sound is open, expressive, and driven by a strong sense of interplay.

Alyn Cosker is one of Scotland’s most established drummers, known for his work across a wide range of projects in the UK and internationally. A long-standing member of the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, he has performed with artists including Joe Lovano, John Scofield and Branford Marsalis. Alongside his work as a sideman, Cosker leads his own projects and continues to release new music, with a new album scheduled for release this year.
