It's UNESCO International Jazz Day and we're hosting a celebration of global jazz in association with this incredible worldwide event coordinated by the Herbie Hancock Institute in the USA.
Claude Deppa is one of the founding fathers of the Jazz Warriors, probably the most influential UK jazz collectives of the 20th Century and he leads this phenomenal band of multi-national musicians from the Grand Union Orchestra to join the world's largest celebration of jazz with music that will move the feet and lift the heart.
Expect Bengali songs and rhythms from tabla master Yousuf Ali Khan, lyrical solos from Louise Elliott (tenor sax/flute), and music from the African diaspora, Latin America and the Caribbean featuring Claude Deppa (trumpet), Josh Brandler (voice, bass), Siemy Di (DR Congo) all supported by multi-instrumentalist Gerry Hunt.
