Event information

Join us for an afternoon of vibrant chamber music as we welcome the Cartref Chamber Collective, a brilliant young trio bringing fresh energy to timeless repertoire.

Expect a beautiful blend of lyrical Romanticism and Classical elegance including works by Mozart, Bruch and D'Indy, and exciting new commission from one of today’s rising composers, Ella Roberts.

The Cartref Collective was founded in October 2024 with the goal of sharing classical music with their local communities.

The founding members met during their undergraduate degrees at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where they graduated with first class honours in 2023. Since then they have established extensive performance careers.

Pianist Lizzie Bonsell is a chamber musician, repetiteur and teacher. Violist Mungo Everett-Jordan and clarinettist Ellie Kershaw have gone on to postgraduate studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal College of Music.

The bar will be open throughout the lunchtime concert — come enjoy great music with a drink in hand!

Repertoire:
- Bruch Pieces for Clarinet, Viola and Piano No.2 + No.6
- Commission by Ella Roberts 'Breathe in Breathe out'
- Mozart Kegelstatt Trio
- Vincent D'Indy clarinet trio Mvt 3 (encore)
