Florence Sommerville, 2025 UK Country Music Female Singer of the Year, comes to Brighton to play at the Greys Freehouse, along with her special guest, Liverpudliam Cal Ruddy, on Monday 1st June for an evening of outstanding Americana-country music. Described by Tim Martin (Fatea) as “Currently Britain’s Best Country singer,” adding: “Make sure you see her before Nashville claims her permanently,” the Orsett-based country star will be performing an eclectic mix of her original songs from her acclaimed ENDLESS HORIZON debut album, alongside some well-chosen covers, delivered in her very own inimitable style. Cal Ruddy is an award-winning and multiple award nominated Americana influenced Singer-Songwriter. He has played shows across the Merseyside area and beyond over the past 10 years, building a loyal following for his dynamic performances. Currently based in London, he has previously lived and worked for a time in Brighton. His debut album, Elliston Place, released in 2021, showcases his talent for crafting songs that resonate with listeners. He will be releasing a new album later this year.
