Learn to make books by hand in this relaxed, tactile, and absorbing 5-hour workshop.

Led by Southern Bookcrafts Club, this friendly introduction to the craft of bookbinding will guide you from first principles through to a finished set of handmade notebooks and a beautiful book box to store them in. You'll start with the simplest of structures and build steadily from there, developing the skills and confidence to keep making books long after the workshop ends.

Everything you need is provided – cutting mat, tools, paper and all materials – so you just need to turn up ready to make something.

No experience needed. Just a love of beautiful things made well. Come along to lose yourself in the quiet satisfaction of craft.
