The author, Vanessa Holburn, sensitively explores these stories, offering insight into their hidden worlds.
Vanessa Holburn is an established non-fiction writer, with six books including Surviving the Holocaust and Stalin and How to Be an Activist. She spent several years in Hong Kong before returning to the UK to pursue lifestyle writing and has contributed to major British publications'.
