Event information

May is the month of so many traditions in the folk calendar, of so many songs, and with good reason!
It even has a tree named after it, the Hawthorn, or May bush. Gorse, cowslips and a host of other wild flowers also flourish, so it’s only natural that storytellers blossom into telling stories.

Join Storytelling at the Feast of Fools for a flowering of blooming talent – our resident team of tellers are after all a blooming talented lot – on May 6th at the Quaker Meeting House, with a series of individual 10 minute story spots.

At the time of writing in March, all slots are available, so please let us know if you’d like to claim one.

Tickets will be as usual for these evenings, £6 for general admission and £4 for performers.
More good news: the evenings will be getting lighter, for arriving.
As ever, the attraction of the stories will be rivalled by the superb cakes and the friendly company – what’s not to like?!

More details will be on our website at https://storyfeast.uk/index.html

` We believe the car park next door is back! After being used as a council builders' yard for some months, it was re-opened for our June session. If it's closed again, we suggest aiming for "Upper Mounts Parking" on your satnav. Bus routes run up The Lower Mounts, where there's a stop just near the BBC building, from where you can walk down Abington St & up Wellington St, or up the Lower Mounts and along Lady's
