From New York, drummer Robert Castelli has played and / or recorded with well-known and up-and-coming artists in just about every popular genre in the USA and Europe, from small clubs to stadiums.
Unsurprisingly his compositions tend to have a rhythmic angle such as the 12/8 African groove of ‘African Dance’ or the funk meets swing of ‘Temporary Insanity’. Castelli is a rhythm machine, but one with a lot of refreshing, crispy ideas.
