Event information

Eclectic Voices, Nick Cooper, Lily Payne and Adrian Thompson perform a new song cycle based on settings of selection of Keats' poetry composed by Scott Stroman.

Scott composed this song cycle for long-time collaborator, opera tenor Adrian Thompson. Scott has chosen poems including I Stood Tiptoe Upon a Little Hill and Ode to a Nightingale. The World Premiere will take place at Keats House, Hampstead, appropriately where some of the poetry was composed.

Stroman has set the music for tenor, clarinet, cello and chamber choir. - a combination which suits the intimate environment of the Nightingale Room.

The programme is completed with some short choral works by Benjamin Britten.

Tenor - Adrian Thompson
Cello - Nick Cooper
Clarinet - Lily Payne
Choir - Eclectic Voices

Conductor - Scott Stroman

Each performance (at 13:00 and 15:00) will be a little under an hour. There is no interval.
