Our Land
Access to 92% of the all the land in England and to 97% of all the rivers in England is not allowed. The result is that almost all the people in this country are banned from almost all the country’s land and rivers. Our Land documents the clash between England’s landowners and Right to Roam campaigners who demand wider public countryside access, weighing openness, ownership rights, and environmental stewardship.

Event information
Our Land seamlessly juxtaposes the two sides of the debate around our access to nature, giving voice to the different perspectives: those fighting for greater access to the countryside and the landowners who claim to be stewards of the land.
Taking us to the heart of the Right to Roam movement, Our Land embarks on a provocative trail of mass trespass, campaigning and education. It also explores landowners’ concerns around environmental protection and the danger such widespread access could pose to a landscape already under threat. “Informative and uplifting”, says the Financial Times.
