Cherry Burton Arts is hosting another special music evening to help boost funds for the Village Hall. ‘Hall Together Now #5’ will take place on FRIDAY 20 November at The Village Hall in Cherry Burton (7.30pm) and feature no less than SIX local acts.
THE BAY HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE will be hosting the event, as well as introducing and playing alongside their special guests including The Arkut Brothers, Claire Smith Duo, Black Coffee & Cream, and McDowell.
The annual event has been described as a ‘an entertaining mixture of songs, tunes and styles’ from very different local acts all with Cherry Burton connections-indeed all have performed at the monthly Cherry Burton Acoustic Evenings held in the village pub.
This year the audience can look forward to sets from no less than six acts, and lots of collaborations with the hosts The Bay Horsemen. The very popular country sounds of The Arkut Brothers, and the handpicked songs of Claire Smith Duo, will blend wonderfully with the human juke box song collection of Black Coffee & Cream and the bluesy vibes of McDowell. Throw in the tongue in cheek assortment from The Bay Horsemen of the Apocalypse and a great night is in store!
At ‘Hall Together Now ‘events all the musicians take to the stage for a finale jam- but what song will they choose this time?
Attenders should note that there will be a BAR for this event, and a raffle!
Cherry Burton Arts organiser Martin Peirson added “We have some wonderful arts events in the hall- and to have another night to support the on-going fundraising appeal seemed like a good idea-especially involving these home-grown acts! We have plans to improve accessibility to the hall which doesn’t come cheap so we are very grateful for these musicians giving their precious weekend time to help out!”
