DAWN LANDES (New York, NY)
Reminiscent of the raw traditionalism of Woody Guthrie and the experimental alt-folk lyricism of artists like Joanna Newsome, the Louisville KY native plays a variety of instruments (8-dollar guitars! pink accordions! glockenspiels! optigons!
She's also a sometime member of the band Hem and her most recent solo record, the rather fine 'Sweetheart Rodeo' was released at the end of last year on Cooking Vinyl.
'...songs from the seat of an aimless dreamer' - PASTE 'Cool and supple song-writing... Alt-folk with an imaginative lyrical tilt.' TIME OUT
'Odd dream-like songs, thumb pianos and gorgeous boho-folk... Bewitching American folk siren' UNCUT

BEN FOLKE THOMAS
Making a name for himself on the London scene, this transplanted Swede offers a broader portfolio of emotions than your average Americana guy, taking in the doom of Cohen, the blues of Johnson, Guthrie's folk and the indie flavour of contemporaries such as Josh Ritter.
Single coming soon on Danny George Wilson's Still Believe label

LAURA VICTORIA
Pop meets trad folk via a voice and a cello.
Intense, edgy, light hearted, melodramatic and honest songs brought to life by unusual cello playing that veers between moving melancholy airs, punchy rock riffing and slap bass. Songs tell of love affairs, shipwrecks, imaginary worlds, (and cups of tea).
A recently arrived resident of south London, Laura has played many world/folk music festivals throughout Europe attracting attention for both her pop sensibilities and unique cello playing.
