Following the huge success of A Nightmare In Space last October. Acid Mouse Promotions are back with their second unique party. This time around, we are taking over a two-roomed, 400 capacity warehouse in the center of Islington & offering an experience unlike any other.
The Acid Barndance will bring together two cultures that would usually shun each others company & join them together as newly-weds. The cultures in question are raves and country & western. We will bring you a post-apocalyptic barndance from hell (in a good way). Imagine Billy The Kid and The Predator get together to put on a hoedown... roll on The Acid Barndance.
We will be dipping a couple of tons of hay in UV paint and spreading it across the floor to create a glowing barn, then filling it with strange & wonderful installations.
On top of this, we’ll have some of London’s most exciting party bands & DJ’s to keeping you dancing long into the night.
Room 1
Live:
David Goo - http://www.myspace.com/davidgoo
Probably the best party band in London. Gypsy-punk wierdness.
Rum Shebeen - http://www.myspace.com/rumshebeen
Born from the embers of The Ludes. Rum Shebeen are making waves through London with carribean infused chaos.
The Barker Band - http://www.myspace.com/thebarkerband
It would be rude not to have a bluegrass band playing a barndance, no? Well we thought it would anyway, so we booked one of the best in the UK!
Parties in Belgrade - http://www.myspace.com/partiesinbelgrade
Another brilliant band to end the bill... not as good at writing these blurbs as I should be. Listen to them, you'll understand why they are playing.
DJ’s:
Acid Mouse Sound System featuring: Lucifer Cornbeef, Tom Rose & Dan Spaz
Playing - Rock, Northern Soul, Guilty Pleasures & more
Room 2
DJ’s:
Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Acid House & Electro
With DJ’s: Scott D’Souza, Jimmy Nelson, Columns + more tbc
As if we arn’t already offering amazing value money, we thought we’d go all out... To encourage everyone to get into the mood, we’ll be offering a free shot of bourbon on entry to everyone that arrives in fancy dress.
