KING AND THE OLIVE FIELDS

They released a wonderful 10" vinyl EP and everybody is talking about it. If you like Beat Happening, first Tindersticks album, "Love Will Tear Us Apart", early Belle and Sebastian and Pastels, this will be your new favourite band.
LORD MAGPIE AND THE PRINCE OF CATS

They mention as influences Leonard Cohen, The Stooges, Captain Beefheart, Ramones and the Sisters of Mercy. They are younger then you and me. Their shows are like a panic attack: you expect something really bad will happen, but in the end everything goes well. Very well. It's not very often you see a band so young making music like this.
FIRE STATIONS

Imagine a frontal collision between The Magnetic Fields and Donovan and you will get the idea and maybe call some fire department to extinguishe the fire.
